Giving From What Is Full
“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing.”
—
Burnout often begins with a false belief: that you must give what you do not have.
Scripture counters this quietly and clearly. When God shepherds your life, lack is not the starting point. Provision is. This does not mean resources are unlimited. It means your source is not self-generated.
Giving from fullness requires awareness. You notice when generosity flows naturally and when it feels strained. You learn the difference between offering and overextending. One strengthens you. The other depletes you.
Jesus gave generously, but He did not give indiscriminately. He withdrew when needed. He rested. He prayed. His giving flowed from relationship, not obligation.
May invites you to reassess how you contribute. Are you giving from what is present and alive in you, or from pressure to meet expectations? Contribution rooted in fullness remains sustainable. It honors both the giver and the receiver.
You are not meant to empty yourself to prove faithfulness. You are meant to give from what is being continually replenished.
Where am I giving from fullness, and where might I be giving from depletion?
Before offering your time or energy today, pause and check whether it flows from presence or pressure.
Speak This Truth
“I give from fullness and trust provision. My contribution is grounded and life-giving.”
