Learning to Listen Again

Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God.

NIV

There is a kind of listening that only becomes possible after movement.

March asked you to step forward, to respond, to act with courage and responsibility. Now April invites you to notice what movement has stirred. Not to undo it, but to refine it.

Stillness here is not inactivity. It is attention. It is the choice to quiet internal noise so that what matters can be heard more clearly. Scripture connects stillness with knowing, not with passivity. When you slow down, perception sharpens.

After seasons of action, it is easy to carry residual urgency. You may still feel the need to push, to manage outcomes, to keep momentum alive. But refinement does not come through effort. It comes through awareness.

Listening again means noticing what feels aligned and what feels slightly off. It means paying attention to subtle resistance or quiet peace. It means letting discernment catch up with responsibility.

Jesus often returned to stillness after movement. Not because He was uncertain, but because He understood the importance of listening between actions. Guidance was not a one-time event. It was ongoing.

This month is not asking you to do less because you failed. It is inviting you to listen more carefully because you are ready. Refinement is a sign of trust. It assumes you can hear.

You do not need to search for answers today. You only need to make space.

Ponder This

What becomes clearer for me when I slow down and listen?

Today's Practice

Create a brief moment of quiet today, even a few minutes, and simply notice what rises without judgment.

Speak This Truth

I slow my pace and sharpen my listening. I remain attentive, grounded, and open.
