Choosing What Deserves Your Energy

Ephesians 5:15

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise.

NIV

Not everything that is possible is meant to be pursued.

As movement increases, options tend to multiply. Opportunities appear. Requests increase. Ideas surface. Without discernment, agency can turn into dispersion. You find yourself busy but not aligned.

Scripture links wisdom with attentiveness. Paying attention to how you live means noticing where your energy actually goes. It means recognizing what drains you versus what strengthens you. What aligns you versus what distracts you.

Choosing what deserves your energy is not about doing less for the sake of simplicity. It is about doing what matters with intention. Wisdom allows you to invest where your presence has purpose, rather than scattering yourself thin.

Jesus did not respond to every demand placed on Him. He chose where to give His time and attention. His focus was not urgency, but alignment.

You are allowed to be selective. Discernment is not selfishness. It is stewardship of your life.
