Love Never Fails
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

On this day when the world speaks of love, Scripture declares what love actually is: unfailing. Not the love of greeting cards that fades with feeling or convenience. The love described in 1 Corinthians 13 is patient when patience is depleted. Kind when kindness is undeserved. Enduring when ending seems easier. Everything else passes: prophecy, tongues, knowledge, even faith and hope will give way to sight. But love remains. Love never fails. It is the eternal investment, the only currency that carries into eternity.
Where have I let my love fail because it required too much?
Tell someone today: "My love for you is not based on your performance." Mean it.
